Deeep Tissue Massage

What to expect: The practitioner will use strong pressure, slow deep strokes and friction to release muscle tension. How it helps: When there is muscle tension or injury, there will usually be adhesions in the connective tissue. These adhesions can block circulation, limit range of motion and cause pain and inflammation. Deep tissue massage works by breaking down these adhesions to relieve pain and restore range of motion. What conditions it can help: Deep tissue massage is especially helpful for: chronically tense and contracted areas, neck and lower back tightness, repetitive strain injuries (RSI), postural problems, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis.

Trigger Point Massage

During treatment, the therapist will use static pressure applied directly on the trigger point which will help to inactivate it. This usually will be followed by deep stroking and stretching to restore the natural resting length of the muscle. A myofascial trigger point is a hyperirritable spot in a muscle that is associated with a sensitive nodule within a taut band. The spot is painful on compression and can give rise to characteristic referred pain and tenderness. A muscle with a trigger point is prevented, usually by pain, from reaching its full range of motion and will be restricted in its strength and endurance. Deactivating the trigger point will help to decrease the amount of pain, therefore increasing mobility and strength of the muscle. Trigger point pain can be the cause of many issues including: headaches, jaw and facial pain, sciatica like pain, postural issues, neck and back pain, carpal tunnel like pain, and more.

Foot Reflexology

This treatment is the precious heritage of the traditional Chinese medicine. There are sayings from the classical medical materials: foot is similar the root of the tree, the tree dies from the root, and human ages from the foot. According to the traditional medicial science, the human organs were reflected at the bottom of his feet. If something goes wrong with any organs, it will be reflected at certain parts at the bottom of his feet. To identify and "Tui-Na" these sick spots can generate surprising results.
